The left really doesn’t want you to eat meat anymore, as evidenced by the fact that the dozens of leftist contenders for the presidency in 2020 can’t stop talking about it at all of their “town hall” gatherings.
Democrat hacks like Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders want meat to be off-limits from your dinner plate because of its supposed “environmental impact.” But how come none of them ever mention the environmental impact of meat’s “plant-based” alternatives, which are loaded with pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs (genetically-modified organisms)?
Glyphosate, the primary active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide, is arguably the most damaging chemical on the planet. It’s routinely sprayed on genetically engineered soybeans, corn, and other “plant-based” ingredients used in products such as those manufactured by “Beyond Meat.”
Simply by using the term “plant-based,” all of the anti-meat propaganda coming from the mouths of leftist morons suddenly has merit as the “solution” for the ails of “global warming” and “climate change.” The only problem is that “plant-based” is far more damaging to the environment in practicality than anything coming out of the stockyard.
Consider the questions posed by the women in the video below to Kamala Harris about meat and its supposed “environmental impact,” and listen to Kamala’s answer:
“Will you be supporting change in dietary guidelines, and then how will you plan on implementing the changes so that people will effectively change their diets?” asked Caroline Coursant, a lawyer from New York City, to which Kamala responded:
“So the answer is yes, but I’ll also say this, the balance that we have to strike here, frankly, is about what government can and should do around creating incentives, and then banning certain behaviors.”
Kamala went on to vaguely suggest that the government should make changes without actually stating that it should directly limit people’s ability to eat meat, to which the moderator asked her again to specify whether or not she supports changing the dietary guidelines.
“I’ve actually worked on this issue in the past, and it is about consumer awareness as well … I strongly believe that the American consumer is still left without the information that you need and deserve to have about what it is that you are putting into your body, or surrounding yourself with, and the health implications of those things.”
Once again, not one mention was made about how factory farming is the real problem, and not food itself. But in the world of liberal derangement, food policy is apparently so black and white that libtards actually take themselves seriously in declaring that all meat is bad.
The irony of this is that when it comes to things like gender policy, liberals suddenly declare that everything is a gray area, and that there are an unlimited number of genders depending on how you feel on any given day. But meat? Nope, it’s all bad and needs to be replaced with “plant-based” soy burgers.
However, when it comes to the poisons used to grow liberals’ beloved “plant-based” foods, as well as factory-farmed meat and dairy products, the climate brigade remains completely silent. That’s because most of them have no clue what they’re talking about, and just like sounding smart as they virtue signal their anti-meat idiocy in the name of “saving the planet.”
